A review of current education industry topics from the publisher of Learning A–Z

“Every day I make an effort to go toward what I don't understand. This wandering leads to the accidental learning that continually shapes my life.”

Three Cheers for the National Center for Learning Disabilities

The National Center for Learning Disabilities recently launched a new website for the RTI Action Network. RTI—Response to Intervention—is a way of identifying and helping struggling students. It closely monitors student progress from preschool through high school, providing necessary special instruction. The RTI Action Network's mission is to support parents and teachers so that all struggling students are identified early and receive the necessary support to be successful.

Differentiated, tiered instructional materials are crucial to making RTI work. Learning A–Z's differentiated learning products align closely with the models described on the website. The Learning A–Z family of websites provides unique instructional solutions that encourage and engage students at all achievement levels. Last year we experimented with RazKids. This year I purchased a subscription to each of the Learning A-Z sites and have been increasing usage on them through the year. They are all in next years school budget. I love the fact that all areas continue to expand.
I am particularly interested in the Song Books. There is a wealth of folk / traditional music that is not copyrighted. The format of these books can help the most musically impaired expose our students to reading through music which is, after all, the natural progression.

I took advantage of the Teacher Appreciation week Reading A-Z had to offer by downloading and printing all that was offered that week. I thank A-Z for allowing us to do that. I used a book that very week that offered the phonic skills we were working on in this gr. 1 classroom. I was also able to print out an abundance of organizational tools (webs), as well as assessments. I will be organizing all of this over the summer to align with our reading series. I will definitely be looking into purchasing an A-Z subscription and have passed all this wonderful information on to my team. Thanks for such a thorough one-stop shopping!

I took advantage of the opportunity to download the Reading A - Z programs during Teacher Appreciation Week. Being the only Special Education teacher within a parochial school, I do not have a budget that allows me to take advantage of programs like this. In sharing this information with my administrators, we hope to possibly purchase programs for the future. Thank you A - Z for the fantastic opportunity you provided for us.

Hello, like very much. I found it on yahoo will add it to bookmark and come back often again to read and follow. Please continue to do awesome job you do on it.
