It’s Time to Get Caught Reading

Look who has been caught reading recently. Actors like Drew Carey, athletes like Tim Duncan, musicians like Gloria Estefan, and even Jedi Master Yoda all know the value of a book. Get Caught Reading Month is a nationwide campaign to remind people of all ages how much fun it is to read. In the spirit of the month, I think I’ll choose one of my favorite books from the thousands available on Reading A–Z and get caught reading myself!

Bob, I am a veteran teacher and you and I know that there is way too much non-essential activity going on and not enough attention given to individuals. I teach early grades and see them early having to meet more rigorous standards. I do not believe more time should be spent on technology, but only very quality time taught on quality websites. ... What can be done to disgusting places that allow teens and preteens to be exposed to dangerous adults? Much more needs to be done to help children. Period.

I ordered "The Get Caught Reading" posters. I think they are great motivators. Students don't consider reading fun anymore. Everthing is about test scores.

You are a very smart person!
